Windows Autopatch

What if Microsoft could take away the burden of managing updates from your IT department? Well, that’s exactly what Windows Autopatch can do for your company! This cloud-based service builds on top of WUfB, as it automates the planning and deployment of the following updates:

  • Windows 10 and 11
  • Microsoft 365 Apps
  • Microsoft Teams
  • The Microsoft Edge browser

It also supports Azure Virtual Desktop workloads for personal persistent virtual machines. It does not support multi-session hosts, pooled non-persistent virtual machines, or remote app streaming.

There are some requirements that have to be met before companies can make use of Windows Autopatch. The devices that use it need to be managed via Microsoft Intune or co-managed. This automatically means that bring-your-own-device scenarios are not supported.
