Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) can be defined as data that is collected, processed, and analyzed to understand a threat actor’s motives, targets, and attack behaviors. The fundamental objective of CTI is to enable an organization to make faster and better-informed decisions and to help the blue team become proactive in their defense efforts.
A threat intelligence report provides information about the threats that have targeted an organization or may potentially do so. Information like this is used to prepare, prevent, and identify cyber-attacks aimed at stealing valuable information. In many cases, this intelligence may even help organizations become proactive and defend against attacks, even zero-day threats, before they get hit by them.
