Using the Library Administration interface

The Library Administration interface is a tool available only to full administrators or users who have been granted the TIBCO Spotfire Library Administration license. It is accessed through the Tools menu.

The Spotfire library is a repository of analysis files arranged in a folder-like hierarchy for distribution to the enterprise. It can be accessed from both Spotfire desktop clients and the Spotfire web player. Although all the items in the library are actually stored in the Spotfire Database, the library works very much like a Windows file system.

The Library Administration interface allows a library administrator to create folders and hierarchies of folders; move and copy analysis files between folders; and, most importantly, control who has access to each folder.
