Summary
During this chapter, we looked at basic uses of client-side scripting in client scripts and UI policies. We explored the four different types of client script and saw how each script type works. We also discovered how and when to write client-side scripts and how to test and debug them. Finally, we looked at some practical examples of client-side scripts and where uses of the different types of client script can be utilized.
In the next chapter, we continue with client-side scripting, looking at the more advanced techniques and areas where client-side scripts can be used. We take a look at script actions, AJAX calls for calling server-side scripts, and using UI actions to run client-side scripts.
