Syntax editor

The syntax editor helps developers to write JavaScript code when working with scripts. It is enabled by default on all instances. The syntax editor is ubiquitous in the ServiceNow platform and is available on all forms where we have a field to write JavaScript code:

The syntax editor, as shown in the preceding screenshot, may look like a simple text editor with syntax highlighting and formatting support; however, the syntax editor in the ServiceNow platform has lots of features developers must be aware of.
