Before you start customizing the CDS, you should create a solution. The solution will act as a container for all your customization changes.
Solutions are created in the Power Apps Maker portal. You create a solution by clicking on Solutions at the bottom of the left-hand navigation pane and then clicking on + New solution, as shown in Figure 3.4:
A pane will open on the right-hand side as shown in the previous screenshot. When creating solutions, start by specifying the following fields:
- Display name
- Name
- Publisher
- Version
The Version number helps you track where your changes have been deployed to each of your environments. This is especially useful if you have separate environments for development, staging, test, training, and production.
