Customers demand to interact with your organization using many different channels. The web is one such channel. Customers need to view the data you hold on them, for example, the status of their service requests, and to submit new service requests over the web. Portal apps address this requirement.
Other than model-driven and canvas apps, portal apps are the third type of Power App that you can create. Portal apps are external-facing websites that users outside of your organization can browse anonymously, or sign in to, in order to access data stored in the CDS.
This section provides an overview of the portal and how external users can access the portal. The following screenshot shows a portal website:
