Dashboards are a great way to see multiple reports on a single screen. Jira refers to these mini-reports as gadgets. Gadgets come in a variety of formats—bar graphs, pie charts, simple lists, and two-dimensional (2D) pivots. To create a new dashboard, click on the Dashboards option in the top navigation menu bar and select Create dashboard, as illustrated in the following screenshot:

The ensuing dialog box allows you to name the dashboard, along with entering a description. On this screen, you can also share the dashboard using the same permissions functionality we discussed earlier for filters (see Figure 6.19). I have named mine Staff Meeting Dashboard
