The data management framework

The data management framework in Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations is based on Data Import/Export Framework (DIXF). This tool, along with the other tools in LCS, helps the customers and partners quickly set up their initial environment from blank data, manage the configuration data throughout the lifecycle of the project, plan and execute data migration, and move the data from one environment to another.

There are several tools and concepts that constitute the overall data management platform in Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations. Some of these tools are within the Finance and Operations application, while the others are available in LCS. Let's learn about these tools and concepts and how they can be used for various data management scenarios.
