Overview of this book

Microservices are the latest "right" way of developing web applications. For this, you will explore monitoring tools such as Appdynamics, Dynatrace, AWS CloudWatch, and Nagios. Finally, you will learn to identify, address, and report various performance issues related to microservices.

Domain-specific monitoring

While monitoring an environment for the occurrence of relevant events represents a key executive function, it's also necessary to be clear about which functions are mediated by domain-general or domain-specific mechanisms. Domain-specific monitoring offers you enough information that you can act rapidly if someone intrudes on your system.
