Summary

In this chapter, we explored the web WAI for good web design, best practices in the usage of colors, icon sets, and background and foreground colors. We had a look at how fonts make the text stand out in a website and the difference between rich Internet applications and desktop applications in the current era. We also learned the importance of feedback from potential users. We also learned the difference between busy UIs and the data-dominated approach. We had a look at the guidelines on functions per page, the components that you are going to use, how to override common CSS styles and specific styles by going beyond the standard PrimeFaces themes, the considerations for mobile, and a few other miscellaneous best practices.
