Building a WebRTC demo application for Android


Until now, we learned how to develop web-based WebRTC applications and services. Your customers can use them just via a web browser. Android has good support for WebRTC in the native mobile browser (and is the Google Chrome mobile) as far as third-party web browsers like Firefox are concerned.

Nevertheless, in some cases, you might want to develop a native Android application that could utilize the WebRTC features and closely integrate them with your service. For example, an in-browser application can't handle video/audio calls in the background. In other words, your customer will have to keep the web browser open in order to use your service and remain online.
