The normal way to monitor events is to search using the event stream dashboard if some issue occurs in the infrastructure or application system, looking for some clues as to the root cause. Events are not very useful in terms of proactive monitoring because you get to know about the issue only after the issue happens. However, notifying others about some of the events might be useful. Also, filing a support ticket based on an event is possible, by notifying the Datadog support.
Use the Add comment link available with the event to send a notification as in the following example:

As you can see, an event notification can be sent to individual emails, all, and Datadog Support. All the Datadog users in the organization will be notified of the event if all is chosen. A support ticket will be created if Datadog Support is selected.
