Setting up a platform-specific SDK

Before we start interacting with the device-specific features, we need to have the SDK for that device operating system set up on our local machine. Officially, Ionic supports only iOS, Android, and to a lesser extent Windows phone platforms. Nevertheless, Ionic can be used on any device.

The following are links on how to set up a mobile SDK on your machine.
