Captivate offers more than a dozen objects to enhance the slides of our projects. In this chapter, we will explore five of those objects. We will start with the most basic of them: the Text Caption.
The Text Caption is one of the most basic and popular objects of Captivate. It is used in many different situations where we need to display text to the learners. In its most basic form, the Text Caption is just a piece of text that appears and disappears from the screen according to its position on the Timeline.
The Demo auto-recording mode we used during the filming in the previous chapter has already added lots of Text Captions to our slides. Some of these might be just right, but most of them, if not all of them, need some extra work.
When working with Text Captions, you can be in either one of two modes.
First, you can consider the Text Caption as an object. In this case, eight white squares appear...
