Flex 3 with Java

Packaging is the process of enclosing the application binaries for distribution in a production environment. Deployment is the process of moving your packaged application and related resource files into the production environment.
Like any other web application, Flex applications can also be packaged as web applications and deployed on a web server. Flex applications are essentially SWF files (Flash application) which are embedded into HTML files. They can be served from any web server, but the actual application deployment process depends on the web server and the server technology that you are using. For example, if you are using .NET as your server technology, the process of packaging and deploying Flex application on IIS would be different than packaging and deploying it on Tomcat or JRun with Java server technology.
