How you segment and store your data is highly dependent on its use case. Not every project will need a search index or relational database, but they are easily reachable if you need them. Be mindful that services come at a cost and that misuse of the services is likely to end up in an expensive bill each month. Experimentation to determine the best use of services will pay dividends, not only in budgetary terms, but in terms of speed of data access and the responsiveness of your application.
