Performance testing

Performance testing refers to the test of a system's various performance metrics by using automated testing tools to simulate multiple normal, peak, and abnormal load conditions.

Load testing and stress testing are both considered performance testing and can be combined. Determining system performance under different workloads through load testing aims to help you understand the change of various system performance metrics when the load is gradually increasing. Stress testing determines the maximum service that a system can provide by testing a system's bottleneck or intolerable performance point.

Performance is critical when it comes to choosing a database or middleware product. To understand the basic performance of various types of databases, you need to run performance testing on these databases or middleware.
