So once again, the Splunk Machine Learning Toolkit attempts to simplify or streamline the process of applying machine learning techniques to your Splunk-collected data.
This version 3.1.0 (of the app) provides showcase examples organized by the type of analytic using:
- Classification (predicting a yay or nay)
- Regression
- Anomaly detection
- Outlier detection
- Other ways
The showcases demonstrate how to apply the aforementioned machine learning methods to a sample of datasets (also downloaded as part of the app) for you to use as a starting point for building your own analysis.
Once you have launched the Splunk Machine Learning Toolkit app, you will see the Showcase page:
