Summary

In this chapter, we explored a simple application that allowed us to send and consume messages using the JMS standard implemented by OMCS. We then connected ICS and OMCS together by defining a connector. Finally, we created a simple integration that received a message with an XSD structure, mapped it, and pushed it out into another OMCS queue.

Although this is relatively simple, as an example, it is representative of the kinds of things that can be done to link ICS with other Oracle PaaS solutions that work in a more event-driven way. In Chapter 9, Managed File Transfer with Scheduling, we will look at the use of managed file transfers, which is a more technical connection technique that has some characteristics that are special to it. However, as file-based integration, it is typically a bulk model.
