In a large environment, it is entirely possible that you arrive at a configuration change that needs to be published across different sets of hosts or, let's say, host clusters. Since a host or a cluster can only be attached to a single Host Profile at any point in time, there should be a way to publish configuration changes across clusters. It wouldn't make any sense to duplicate Host Profiles whenever such a need arises. Starting with vSphere 6.5, Host Profiles we can now copy settings from one Host Profile to one or more other Host Profiles.
