Azure Monitor and Application Insights are excellent tools for gathering application logs and metrics, as well as storing them and making them searchable. However, there could be reasons why development teams or businesses prefer to work with other tools to visualize application performance or responding to alerts. One important driver for integration is often the primary tool used by a person or team. If a team operates mainly in ServiceNow or Grafana, it is often useful to integrate these with Azure Monitor instead of forcing these teams to work with multiple tools.
