This chapter will cover the approach and some tools that are used to troubleshoot a vSphere environment for performance or other issues.
Note that the basic install, configure, and manage course does not provide enough skill for this task, but there is a specific course that does (VMware vSphere: Troubleshooting Workshop).
The chapter focuses on analyzing different critical resources, such as computing, storage, and networking across the ESXi hosts, resource pools, and clusters.
Providing a complete troubleshooting approach is out of the scope of this book, and to pass the exam you can just learn the basics. Also, most troubleshooting skills come with practical experience in the field.
