Summary

We have reached the top of Dickerson's Hierarchy! Our climb up this pyramid has been long, but fruitful. In this final hierarchy chapter, we discussed the field of design and UX, and talked about how to evaluate systems for their usability. We focused on user testing, user stories, and how to improve the experience of the services you manage.

We also explained the importance of performance, measuring performance, and how performance impacts UX. We covered security and the dangers of always being online. We also briefly talked about ethics and how they relate to the UX of your software.

In the next chapter, we leave the hierarchy behind and begin talking about networking fundamentals.
