Learn Clip Studio Paint
By :

When you draw a straight line digitally, you just need to pick the Straight line sub tool from the Direct draw tool group, and then click and drag. And it’s done! It’s quite a simple task. But when you want to create one with a textured brush, you need a ruler to guide you to create a straight line, no matter how steady your hand moves are. Alternatively, if you are going for a three-vanishing point perspective drawing, you need an accurate guide! Yes, there are good ruler tools for all these options.
There are not only straight, Linear rulers but also Curve rulers, Figure rulers, Ruler pen, Special rulers, guides, Perspective rulers, and Symmetrical rulers available in Clip Studio Paint, which you can see in Figure 13.1. They will be introduced one by one with examples in this chapter. So if you get confused about which ruler is best for you, you can always come back to this chapter to check the descriptions...
