Overview of this book

SAP Intelligent Robotic Process Automation (RPA) enables businesses to automate repetitive work and integrate automation capabilities across SAP and non-SAP systems. Capturing and declaring applications

We use an Application artifact to capture applications running on our workstation and recognize UI elements from these applications for later use in automation. As you will know from your experience with Desktop Studio so far, capturing an application results in getting the elements that make up the application and having them available to you for the next step, which is for declaration. As a productive application will have hundreds if not thousands of elements, you will choose the elements you want to work with and declare only those in the declaration step.

Let's understand each process in brief in the following subsections.

Capturing applications

Capturing an application is a multi-step process in the Application editor of Cloud Studio, and it starts with capturing one of the application screens.
