In this chapter, we learned the main characteristics of SAP Activate and looked at the main deliverables of each phase of SAP Activate. We went through the three scenarios where SAP Activate can be used (new implementation, system conversion, and landscape transformation) and learned how SAP Activate methodology guides teams for these scenarios.

In Chapter 4, Understanding Agile and Scrum, we will focus on learning the basic concepts of agile and scrum and try to see how SAP Activate has been developed as a next generation agile methodology. We will also go through how to set up an agile project and how to scale it. The intention will be to not go into every detail of agile and scrum, but rather to correlate and understand SAP Activate in the context of agile.
