This chapter discusses the transition from Oracle API management suite 12c to the new Oracle API platform cloud service (APIP CS). It sets out to discuss some of the architectural differences between the two products and maps the tool usage between the two platforms. It also discusses a recommended approach for API migration. Unfortunately, there are no automated tools as of the time this book was written to migrate APIs between the two platforms. REST APIs could be used to create a tool for such a purpose and while this is potentially possible it would be complex and subject to severe limitations. These limitations are discussed later in this chapter.
