What’s all that ruckus? Using the Denoise and Ducking effects to increase your audio’s quality

Now, mixing different clips and audio may sometimes sound really bad or even annoying, so the next thing we will learn in this chapter is how to use the Denoise and Ducking features that Filmora offers.

Before we actually apply them to our audio clips, let’s learn what they do:

  • Denoise: The Denoise feature tries—and, for the most part, succeeds—to remove any background noise. There are three options for Denoise: Weak, Mid, and Strong—which, as the name implies, is the strength of the feature. Usually, keeping it in the middle will do the work you’ll need.
  • Ducking: Ducking works differently—instead of completely removing audio, it reduces the audio of other audio clips, making the one with the Ducking feature on louder than all the others playing at the same time.
